Welcome to the first issue of our monthly newsletter. We
will let you know about upcoming events and sales at The
Rising Moon, both in the store and online. If there are any
topics you would like to appear in the newsletter, please
email us.
FAIR TRADE
Each month we will bring you a frequently asked question
from the Fair Trade Federation's website. We carry a large
selection of Fair Trade merchandise from around the world
and we think it is important to understand what Fair Trade
is and how it impacts the world in general.
Q. What does "fair" really mean?
The word "fair" can mean a lot of different things to
different people. In alternative trade organizations, "fair
trade" means that trading partnerships are based on
reciprocal benefits and mutual respect; that prices paid to
producers reflect the work they do; that workers have the
right to organize; that national health, safety, and wage
laws are enforced; and that products are environmentally
sustainable and conserve natural resources.

NEW PRODUCTS

Check out our Fairies page on the website. This new line of
Fairies is from the "Stardust" collection. We will be
adding more pieces soon. These are beautifully detailed and
would make a great addition to anyone's Fairy collection.

SALES

Look for Sale items to be posted to the website in
September. The sale page will be updated each month with
new items.
